The key challenge was to preserve the character identity while converting two-dimensional artwork into a soft three-dimensional plush toy. Colour, fabric appearance, mouth shape, eye details, body proportions and overall balance all needed to remain consistent as client feedback was incorporated into the physical prototype.
Silverwood managed the project through clear development checkpoints: artwork review, Pantone colour and material matching, prototype sampling, client feedback, structural refinement and sample confirmation. Each revision was based on the latest approved reference so the physical plush remained aligned with the intended character. After the revisions were completed, the client confirmed the sample and placed the order.
01The project began with client-supplied character artwork, a target size and colour references. These materials defined the dinosaur silhouette, facial expression and key visual details that the custom plush toy needed to retain during sampling.
02Plush fabrics were compared against the approved Pantone colour references before the prototype moved forward. This helped align the real material appearance with the intended red and accent colours in the client artwork.
03The client reviewed the prototype and provided detailed comments on the mouth, eyes and facial proportions. The marked-up feedback became the controlled revision input for the next sample adjustment.
04To achieve the requested mouth profile, the sample construction was refined with an internal panel to help maintain the shape. The revised prototype was then checked for silhouette, facial balance and overall three-dimensional proportions.
05After the requested revisions were completed, the client confirmed the sample and placed the order. The confirmed sample then served as the physical reference for production follow-through.
